Get started with Push

Push is for a dedicated device — a spare phone with the SIM you want to forward, not the phone you use every day. Once installed, that phone can no longer send or receive texts through its normal messaging app.
1

Download and install the app

Install this on the dedicated phone, not your daily phone.

Download Push (.apk)

Android will ask for permission to install from this source the first time — tap Settings in that prompt and allow it for whichever app you used to open the file (browser, email, etc.), then go back and install.

2

Get your pairing code

Enter your invite code and email below — your pairing code will be sent to your inbox, not shown here.

3

Set Push as the default SMS app

Open Push on the dedicated phone and tap "Set as default SMS app". Confirm the system prompt that appears.

If it doesn't take on the first try, go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → SMS app on the phone and select Push from there instead.

4

Enter your pairing code

Type the code from your email into the app, within 15 minutes of receiving it. Once it's accepted, the app will show "Paired and running."

5

You're done

Any text message that arrives on that phone's number will now show up in your email inbox automatically. No need to open the app again.
